Busy weekend.....

We have had a busy weekend.   I am feeling so much better and Kelly says  that she is so happy that Hutch and I are putting on weight.  Kelly took us for many long walks.   She seems to like being outside.

Hutch and the little girl are getting along so well.   She is very smart, because sometimes when she is sitting on the couch, Hutch goes up to her and tugs on her shirt and she knows that he wants to play.   They roll around on the floor and he is so gentle.   At times I get a little goofy and join in the fun.   It seems strange to play like that and have fun.  We have always just seemed to be looking for food.

Kelly talks to me a lot and tells me that I am a dfferent from a week ago.   I really like her.   She even gets on the floor sometimes and plays with me.   It is a lot of fun.

Our favorite time of the day is food time and walk time.     Hutch and I are still getting used to the leashes.  We don't mind them so much because it makes us feel safe, especially walking near the busy road.   We tend to walk really close to her when the big buses go by.   She keeps us safe. When Kelly isn't looking we grab the leashes and we chew on them in the house.   Hutch chewed right through his and when we were walking it snapped off.    Now she watches us like a hawk and puts the leashes in the drawer so we can't reach them.

We met our foster dad this weekend.   He has been away on business.   I barked up a storm when he came in.   Hutch was NO help in defending the house.     He only barked a little bit.   Our foster dad seems really nice to.   He is not as much fun as Kelly though.   But I did learn that if I walked up to him and nudge him with my nose he would stop what he was doing and start petting me.  He even says that Hutch and I are really smart.    He was NOT happy when Hutch pooped in the house though, but Kelly explained that rescue dogs do that sometimes and with love and patience, he won't do that all of the time.     She did tell him what a good boy I am and that I don't make messes anymore.    (See, I told you I was better than Hutch *insert big doggie wink*)
