The Softer Side of Starsky........

Starsky has changed so much in this past week.   Today he is a "new" man.   With all of the affection and love that he has received this week, he has turned into quite a love bug :)

They are both quiet and gentle.  When Starsky needs some attention, he will come up to me and softly place his head on my lap and look at me with those big brown eyes.  If I ignore him, he actually presses his head down harder on my lap.    I look forward to the day when both dogs have their forever home.  They both need "play" therapy.

Today was the first time they have met my husband and I was a bit apprehensive knowing that I would not be home when he arrived.   Before I left I made sure they were in the kennel.   He told me that Hutch really didn't even bark when he came it and Starsky growled and barked.  After saying both of their names they both calmed down.   When I came home and they were out of their crate, they both ran to him with tails high and wagging.   It was great to see.

Except for one incident (stated in previous blog), Starsky shows great affection and respect to men.   Hutch doesn't care if is male or female, as long as they pet him.

We are working on Hutch's potty training and he is doing well .   We had to start from ground zero but I am sure he will pick it up fast.   Starsky is pretty much there in the potty training.    The last "accident" was when his tummy wasn't well.  So big applause for Starsky.

Thank you to those of you who have emailed me saying that they love the blog!   I have enjoyed writing, and if it finds these two beautiful dogs their forever home, then it is definately worth the time and effort.

Take care

Kelly
