For the love of a Rescue Dog....There is nothing like it......

When ever we have a strange dog in the house (or dogS in this case).   I always watch them for a long time warily when they are around my children.     You just never know.      Some dogs tolerate children because they know they have to.    Some dogs snap (scary and my worst fear) hoping to deter the child from continuing it's a"wanna play Hutch?"pproach.   Some dogs will leave the room in hopes that the child will leave them alone.  I have even seen some dogs pretend that they are sleeping......LOL......  Then there are dogs like Hutch.   They LOVE children and will tolerate just about anything.   Hutch and my youngest are buddies.......  When she is at school he mopes around.   When she is napping on the couch he will quietly walk up to her and just start barking until she wakes up (intensly working on training him NOT to do that!)

Now,  I  will confess,  I still watch  them intently at times.   She IS only four and it would be irresponsible  of me not to, but as  time passes,    I definately become more  comfortable with their little friendship.   What a gift she has and she doesnt' even know it.   "pssstt. Have you heard this one G?"     There is NOTHING like the love of a rescue dog.

"arn't we cute?"
